About
The Meaning Behind Mindsight
Mindsight is a term coined by American Psychiatrist, Dr Daniel Siegel to describe the ability to look inward and reflect on the workings of our own mind and better understand the patterns, emotions, and thoughts that shape our experience.
It’s the capacity to notice what’s happening within us, to name our feelings, make sense of them, and respond with intention rather than reaction. Mindsight allows us to build a deeper connection with ourselves, and in turn, with the people and the world around us.
At Mindsight Wellbeing, this concept is at the heart of what we do. We believe that cultivating this kind of self-awareness is a powerful step towards healing, resilience, and meaningful change.
Our Goal at Mindsight Wellbeing
Our team of Psychologists in Essendon brings a shared passion for wellbeing and a deep respect for the individuality of every person we work with. We aim to provide a space where you can increase your self-awareness, connect with your strengths, and cultivate self-compassion, so that you can live with greater meaning, resilience and fulfilment.
We take the time to under your unique experience, and we work alongside you to explore new ways of thinking, develop helpful strategies, and find creative solutions that support your growth and wellbeing.
We are an inclusive practice that honours the diversity of every individual. No two stories are the same, and therapy is never a one-size-fits-all journey. We embrace the identities, histories and lived experiences that shape who you are, and we work with you to build strategies that are thoughtful, respectful and aligned to you values, needs and personal strengths.

Therapy can be a challenging process, but it doesn’t always have to be serious. Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate that there are many ways to be a psychologist. For me, that means being real, approachable, and often finding a moment to share a laugh. I know that reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I’m here to make it feel a little less daunting. My approach is all about creating a safe, relaxed space where you can explore your story, gain clarity, learn about yourself, and develop new skills to navigate life’s challenges.
I believe therapy isn’t just about reducing distress — it’s about helping you harness your strengths, find joy, identify your values, and ultimately, thrive. This belief was sparked during my undergraduate studies when I first explored the concept of gratitude, which led to an evolving interest in positive psychology — a field focused on strengths, wellbeing, and flourishing. I found that the traditional, deficit-focused approach of psychology didn’t quite align with my vision of therapy or my personal style. I wanted to create a space where people didn’t just work through their struggles but also celebrated their growth and potential!
What excites me most is seeing people grow and develop, using therapy not only to address psychological distress and cope with life’s challenges, but also to pursue personal growth.
I’m a registered clinical psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and over the last 15 years, I’ve worked across schools, hospitals, and private clinics. I’ve supported individuals facing a range of mental health and wellbeing concerns, including grief and loss, life transitions, adjustment to parenthood, navigating the menopausal period (including perimenopause), stress, anxiety, depression, and challenges related to infertility and assisted reproductive technologies
I am committed to lifelong learning and continually enhance my skills through ongoing professional development. Since completing my postgraduate qualifications, I’ve pursued additional studies and draw from an eclectic range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Practices, and Positive Psychology. I also have experience in developing and delivering training and presentations to workplaces on various psychological and wellbeing issues and do this in collaboration with Wundertraining
